Here are 5 simple, effective tips if you’ve just started running 🏃♂️
- Start slow (really slow)
It should feel easy enough to hold a conversation. Walking breaks are totally fine—consistency matters more than speed. - Focus on time, not distance
Aim for 15–30 minutes instead of worrying about miles. Your endurance will build naturally. - Get comfortable shoes
You don’t need the most expensive pair—just shoes that fit well and feel good. Avoid worn-out sneakers. - Warm up & cool down
A 5-minute walk before and after your run helps prevent injury and soreness. Light stretching afterward helps too. - Be consistent, not perfect
Running 2–3 times a week is better than one hard session. Progress comes from showing up regularly.
